Grid Assurance is pleased to announce the first six subscribers to the most complete grid resilience solution in the industry – American Electric Power, Berkshire Hathaway Energy’s MidAmerican Energy Company and NV Energy, Eversource, FirstEnergy, Kansas City Power & Light and National Grid.

We have been working for the last three years preparing for this day and with these 31 subscribing transmission owners with facilities in 26 of the 48 lower continental United States, we are ready to provide much needed grid resilience to the US bulk electric system.

Grid Assurance was formed to answer a need in the electric industry – a need to recover more quickly and completely from the increasing number of high-impact, low-frequency (HILF) events. In recent years the talk around increasing the industry’s on-hand and on-shore access to large-scale transmission equipment has solidified the need for Grid Assurance. We will place an order for equipment later this year and expect to receive our first piece of equipment by mid-2019.
